Artmistice’s Sonia Clarke Takes Part in Sandy Silva’s Migration Dance Film Project
Over the past few weeks, you may have noticed videos on our Facebook page for the Migration Dance Film Project, presented by Sandy Silva Dance, in collaboration with filmmaker Marlene Millar. The dance film project is a series of vignettes that explore the universal theme of migration, as performed by artists from various disciplines in dance and music. Artmistice’s very own Sonia Clarke has been involved with the project as a dancer-interpreter, rehearsal coach, assistant choreographer and producer. Two vignettes, Lay Me Low and Migration, have been completed and have been selected by various film festivals around the world, where they have garnered fantastic reviews, with Lay Me Low winning Best of Fest at the Utah Dance Film Festival. Check out www.sandysilvadance.com/migration.html for more information on the Migration Dance Film Project and stay tuned for more updates here.

Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical
Cannibal The Musical opens February 10th at the Panasonic Theatre in Toronto for a 3-week run. Trey Parker originally wrote, produced, co-scored, directed and acted in the musical as a film, prior to co-creating South Park and The Book of Mormon with regular collaborator, Matt Stone. Loosely based on the true story of Alferd Packer and the journey from Utah to Colorado that found Packer’s fellow travellers inextricably dead and partially eaten, the movie has since been adapted for the stage with new jokes and songs, and is now launching its world premiere.
